He turned around and saw a very strange animal – he looks like a reindeer, but there were no antlers on his head and he had a big shaggy hump on his back. “Hello”, - Snowy said, “Who are you?” “I’m Camel. What are you doing here?” “It’s very hot here, I’m going to take water from snow for a drink”- Snowy answered. “From snow?”, - wondered Camel “But there is no snow here! Only sand everywhere.” “Sand… Such a strange place!… I was dreaming about different places, but here, it is terribly hot! I can’t stay here anymore”- said Snowy and came back to his friend Whale and asked him to look for some other place. And then Whale brought him to Australia. This new place wasn’t so hot like Africa. Snowy was walking and looking around. He saw many new things: trees and flowers, birds and animals. He asked one of them: “Who are you?” “I’m a bear” – answered a strange animal. “A bear? It’s a lie! I am a bear!” – Snowy said. “But I’m Koala, I’m a bear too! I’m sure!” Snowy was perplexed – he had never seen such bears before. This strange bear was smaller than a polar bear but, his ears were so big, he was sitting on the tree and was eating a green leaf. “I’m hungry” – Snowy said. “Let’s eat!” – Koala said, “Come to me and eat these leaves as many as you need!” “But I can’t climb trees up.” –said Snowy and started crying. “Don’t cry, take this tasty food.” – Koala said and threw a branch with leaves to Snowy. Snowy tasted one leaf and started crying more than before: “I can never eat it! Even if I am so hungry!” So, Snowy was forced to go back to his friend Whale again and asked him about other places. Whale thought a bit and brought Snowy to Siberia. “There are many bears in those forests,” – Whale said, “Maybe you will find what you want”. Snowy has been walking in the forest for a long time. This forest was really big. There were so many trees in it. For the first time Snowy thought that he was alone in this place. But after that he saw one bear. That bear looked not so strange as Koala, but he was not a polar bear, because he was not white. He was brown, a brown bear cub. They met quickly: “Hello, my name is Snowy, I’m from northern Arctic.” “Hello”, - answered a brown bear cub, “my name is Mishka, I live here. Let’s play!” “No, no please, I’m so tired and so hungry now!” – Snowy said. “Oh, you are hungry, let’s eat! I know a good place with honey. Do you like honey?” – asked Mishka. “I don’t know yet” – answered Snowy. They came to one big tree and Mishka quickly climbed it up. “Come to me, Snowy, here is honey. Let’s eat!” “I can’t, I’m sorry, I have never done it in my life, we don’t have trees!” - answered sad Snowy. “What do you eat at home?” “I eat fish, I like it so much!” – Snowy said. And when he said it he remembered his home, Mummy bear and Daddy bear. Only now Snowy understood how much he missed them. He said: “I miss my home, my parents and even the snow so much!” “Snow?” - Mishka wondered, “I’ve never seen the snow, when winter comes we always sleep, because winters are so cold and we can’t find the food under the snow.” Snow… Snowy missed the snow. He remembered the dance of snowflakes, the funny song "scoosh-scoosh” which the snow was humming. And he understood that there was nothing compared to home! “OK, I’ve seen enough,” –said Snowy, “Now I know that only at home I am happy. Nothing can stop me. I’m going back home!”
