Before I took part in the Expedition through the Arctic, I had lived by a schedule. In the Arctic you lose sense of time. Having 24 hours of sunlight we could start our hiking at what we thought was 3 PM but it was actually 3 AM.
Our entire being was focused on one thing: survival.

a polar bear, which has come on a smell of food to find something tasty. After a meeting face to face, we have stood in surprise, and it was not clear, who was afraid more. I was carefully moving to a door. The bear in fear a paw behind a paw was softly moving back in an opposite direction from me. As soon as I came nearer to the door, the bear quickly ran back in ice open space. I was lucky because polar bears are very aggressive in comparison with our brown bears as they can suddenly attack the person.
